Jesus initiated His public ministry by proclaiming the coming Kingdom of God (Mt. 4:17). As he was sent by His Father, he revealed God through His life and gospel message (Mt. 13:19). As the Father sent the Son, so Jesus commissioned His disciples to spread the gospel and make disciples (Mt. 28:18-20; Jn 20:21).
The gospel is the power of God to save and sustain. The gospel is essential for all of life. We prioritize gospel proclamation through preaching, singing, Bible study, personal conversations, and evangelism.
Through gospel proclamation, we seek to make disciples who embrace Jesus as Lord and grow in obedience to His commands. We desire for all to receive God's word and come to know Jesus as the Son of God by faith (Jn 17:6). We fulfill this mission through prayer, local evangelism, and supporting global missions.
We treasure Jesus in all we do. Through His death and resurrection, He has reconciled us to God and empowered us to live with love, peace, and unity with one another. Our teaching, fellowship, counseling, and gathering are all dedicated to glorifying God and magnifying Christ.
We believe that God’s Word transforms lives. The Bible, God’s very Word, reveals God Himself, human nature, the need for Christ, and the life of faith. The whole Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness which equips us for every good work.
We pray seeking the kingdom. As Jesus taught us, we pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We trust that our heavenly Father delights in giving His kingdom and good gifts to those who ask in faith. With confident expectation, we pray for the advance of His kingdom, believing that He will do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
We live by the Spirit together. Through Jesus Christ, we have been reconciled to God and joined together as one body. As members of Christ’s body, we are committed to active participation in the local church. We strive to obey the Lord together and live as the Spirit-filled community—the church. The Spirit will cultivate unity, peace, and love among us, a powerful witness to the world that we are followers of Jesus.
We proclaim the good news of the kingdom so every man, woman, and child may encounter the risen Christ. The church is the product of God’s mission, and so, Jesus sent his church to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom and make disciples of every nation.
Reformational
Our core theological convictions find expression in the reformation of the 1500’s. We believe salvation is found in God’s Word alone, is received by grace alone, is through faith alone in Christ alone, and is for the glory of God alone. As God’s true and trustworthy word, Scripture is our final authority. The Bible is the sufficient rule that guides and directs our worship, believing, and our living.
Baptistic
We believe baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward transformation. Baptism is a physical sign where a Christian identifies with Jesus in his death and resurrection. We practice baptism by immersion for those who have professed faith in Christ Jesus.
Complementarian
We believe that God created two complementary genders (male and female) and that both were created with uniquely beautiful and necessary roles contributing to the flourishing of the church and family. Scripture defines those roles for us. Namely, the role of elder/pastor is reserved for men. However, the church cannot flourish if both genders are not present and serving in the ways the Lord has gifted and called them.
