The Fikes are officially overseas! They are currently in the final season of preparation as they strive towards planting a Japanese-speaking church in Tokyo. They are currently in West Asia at language training school. 

  • Pray that God would graciously provide all they need to be fully funded through partner churches.

  • Pray for their time in language training. Pray that God would use the training program to prepare the Fikes for the task ahead. Pray that they would be able to make connections with locals that become close relationships.

  • Pray that the Lord would strengthen the unity of their marriage during this season of preparation. 

  • Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts and minds of the Japanese people to believe in Christ and eagerly work towards establishing a local church.

CrossWay Church // Monck's Corner

CrossWay Church is a church plant partner of the Pillar Network. Heath Caldwell, along with his wife, Sarah, and a team of brothers and sisters, will officially launch CrossWay on Saturday, September 12! We're excited to see another like-minded local church planted in our city.

  • Pray that God would work out all of the logistics as they prepare to launch.
  • Pray that Christ would be exalted in all they do and that God would receive all the glory.
  • Pray that the Lord would draw people to Himself and give them opportunities to reach their neighbors, coworkers, families, and friends for Him. 
  • Pray for joy, energy, endurance, and spiritual protection for their team and family. 
North Charleston
Homelessness in North Charleston

In our region of North Charleston, homelessness is a significant threat to many families. Whether it is people who are presently or recently without a home, or those who are at risk of being homeless, roughly 5-10% of the population face housing instability. This includes thousands of men, women, and children. Local high schools are attempting to support students and families facing these issues by providing food and clothing for their students to take home while other churches in our area provide shelf-stable food for local food pantries.

  • Pray that the Lord would provide secure housing, employment, food, transportation and supprortive relationships for the thousands of individuals faceing housing instability.
  • Ask the Lord to protect and provide for the children growing up in these situations. Pray that churches and families would become places where these children experience the love and care of Christ. 
  • Pray that the Lord would work in the midst of their physical need to satisfy their greatest need, reconciliation to himself through Jesus Christ. Pray that the Lord would send faithful laborers into the harvest to display the love of Christ and declare the love of Christ.
